I Think I am a Killer
Deadman's walking:This all started 10 months back when I and my colleagues decided to go for a holiday party in a nearby resort. It was a grand weekend pool party. Like always we drank beer and had some delicious lip-smacking meal while playing in the pool. While enjoying the water I lost my sunglasses and realized it only after hours, it was just a cheap pair of sunglasses hence I didn't bother about it or spoke to any of my friends about it. After the pool party was over we went out and had lunch, and while having lunch, I saw the housekeeping staff emptying the pool as it was very dirty and they had to change the water. I called one of the cleaners and told him that if they find my glasses to give it back to me and went back to my hotel room to sleep. After an hour the doorbell rang, I got up, still in the hangover of excess beer. I opened the door and saw a room boy with a pair of expensive ray ban sunglasses in his hands, he said: "sir You had lost your goggles, is this the one?" I saw those beautiful sunglasses which were not mine, but seeing those expensive pairs, I said, “Yes this is mine, and tip 100 rupees to the employee. I was happy thinking that 100 rupees were not bad dealings for a pair of glasses worth 15,000. We slept for the entire day and left the hotel that night. The next day while leaving for the office, I began to look for my new glasses and took them with me. Once I reached the office I put my glasses off and began to work, during the lunch recess I wore them again and started showing off to the co-workers.The next few days were very hectic, and I avoided everything except work. Days passed, and It was a beautiful chill evening. I was about to sit for dinner when I felt a little burning and sensitivity near my left eyes. I got up and quickly rushed to the mirror of the closet. I noticed a small boil near my eye. I ignored it thinking that it was due to climate change and kept working. The next day it was even bigger. I thought of wearing my glasses again and going to the office, as I was scared of transferring my eye infection to somebody else in the office. For the next few days, I wore my glasses and started applying an ointment suggested by a co-worker. By the time it was Sunday, and I got some time to see my eye again, it had swollen plural times of a normal eye. That made me worry. I went to an ophthalmologist that evening and showed him my eyes, after the basic treatments he prescribed some painkillers and an eyedrop and told me to rest and not to go out in sunlight for few days. I Phoned my boss and asked for work from home for the next few days and started working on my laptop, but the light from the laptop was also hurting my eyes, hence I got my goggles and started wearing them while using the laptop. After a few hours of work I dozed off, you know how to work from home works. when I got up it was midnight and I was at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, without my shirt, glasses still on, the whole incident terrified me and it felt like a dream. I checked my surroundings and saw some wounds on my hand, strange. There was no cash in my pocket. I just saw a taxi nearby and asked him to take me home. Luckily my home keys were with me, and I got into the apartment. I saw the time-marker, and it was 2 in the morning. I realized that I had dozed off while working at 2 P.M, and it was exactly 12 hours from that time. I saw 42 missed calls from the manager and colleagues. I was anyway too tired so chose to sleep instead of calling them and explaining the whole happening. The next morning after getting up I went for a shower and saw some injuries on my legs as well. I phoned my boss and told him that I dozed off, due to the effect of painkillers. That day I started working again from home and worked till 6 pm, had a lot of pending work from the previous day to complete. After completing the work I had my dinner and decided to take my medications before I sleep. The next day the ugliness of my eye was better, and while I was taking shower, I heard a huge scream from the next-door uncle. I got out of the shower and ran towards the main entrance. I noticed that almost 15 people were standing in our passageway, and my neighbour's uncle was yelling and crying, when I went closer I saw the dead body of their pet dog which was lying on the floor, and its head was cut off and kept in a package box. I almost vomited when I saw that cover, someone had killed the dog and had cut his head and wrapped it in a box, extremely frightful, who could do that? somebody who disliked the puppy, but no one whom I remembered hated that dog, it was a friendly small dog. I went back to my flat and started preparing my breakfast, and called up my doctor for the next appointment as I was feeling better now. I called a taxicab and went to see my consultant. This was the last time when I went out of my home. I have not stepped out of my home for the past 8 months, have not seen my colleagues, parents, or for that matter, any human being apart from the delivery guys who come to give food at my apartment.I was fired out of my job a few months back, they cant allow work from home for more than a month according to the company policy, you know how the new companies work. I later found out that a gatekeeper was murdered the night, and according to the CCTV footage the murderer was a guy in the goggles and helmet who was shirtless. I was at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and yes, I was shirtless. They have seen the CCTV footage and are hunting for that man, and I have enough reasons to consider that it was me. I later also found out that the dog was killed not by some haters, but by me, and I had packed it in a box of the helmet which I had ordered last year from an e-commerce site. My eyes are still puffed, and I am not able to remove that free sunglasses which I got from that pool party. Why am I telling you all this now? Well, while doing my annual Diwali cleaning today, I found my doctor’s stethoscope in my closet with his head? #horrortales #spookytales #murderer #fearofthedark #fear Read my thoughts on YourQuote app at https://www.yourquote.in/anjali-vatsa-zji7/quotes/i-think-i-killer-read-horror-caption-bs6ik9 http://dlvr.it/RkPRCH
